A new book has been published in English by Assistant Professor Dr. Adnan Shakur Ahmed Al-Bayrakhdari, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, on the topic of Hygiene of Animal Products.
The author explained that his book consists of seven chapters that provide comprehensive information on the sanitary hygiene of milk, eggs, meat, fish, and their products. It promotes health awareness regarding sources of contamination and methods of prevention, explains diseases transmitted through animal products, and provides diagnostic and control methods. It also helps in the implementation of public health principles and food safety in all community environments.
The author stated that the significance of the book lies in its focus on a vital subject related to human health and disease prevention. It contributes to ensuring food safety from farm to table and helps improve the quality of animal products for both local consumption and export. The book also serves as a fundamental reference for education and vocational training in the food and animal product sector. He added that he has donated copies of his book to the college and university libraries to serve as a scientific reference for researchers.
